about

"Same Blood" was written after the mass shooting at Orlando's Pure Night Club. No matter how different we all may live or look on the outside, cut us deep and we bleed the same color.

lyrics

Same Blood by Kyshona and Simon Gugala

Old man Moses wading in the river
trying to wash his hands free of the blood and the pain
gotta tell his children why we kill each other
how after 2000 years we still actin' this way

in the Home of the Brave and the land of the free
if you’re telling the truth, then you’ve got enemies
but It don’t matter what you believe

We’re all bleeding the same blood

Carried the sins of our father for years
We learned how to hate and we’ve learned what to fear
But where do we go, where do we go from here.

you can’t undo all the bad that’s been done
Can’t put the bullet back in the gun
All you can do is try to love someone
For goodness sake won’t you love someone

We’re all bleeding the same blood

We’re all bleeding the same blood

Oooo
Don't cover your eyes
Ooooo
Don't look away child

We’re all bleeding the same blood
