When I was but a child My momma told me girl Don’t let the light pass you by You can shine bright in this dark world And when I grew older and was struggling to find my place I pleaded Oh Lord...... Can you shine a little light on my way OOOO lord be my flame Can you feel it in your bones Feel the burning in your soul Hear the voice you used to know Can you feel it in your bones When trouble comes your way and doubts knocking at your door Don’t harbor the darkness child Behind those walls there’s so much more Leave the worries behind you Go on and find your place come on and open your heart And let a little light shine your way Ooooo lord be that flame Can you feel it in your bones Feel the burning in your soul Hear the voice you used to know Can you feel it in your bones You’ve been looking for the light in the darkest corners Looking for the light in the midst of storms Waiting for the time when all along It was waiting for you, waiting for you. (2x) Waiting for you, waiting for you, waiting for you, waiting for you.....

Break Me Down There may be a mountain in front of me That you feel I hide behind So no one can see this fragile heart of mine You just might be the one who breaks me down V2: For years I wondered through crowds My steps straight forward listening for the sound of the footsteps that just might be the one who breaks me down Chorus: Why do I have to bend Way way down low just to let you in Sun don’t stop shining on a cloudy day The mountain don’t crumble for the wind and rain And why I haven’t found the one who breaks me down V3: Some people settle for the easy hand Bettin’ on a put on just fit their plans But I’d rather sit here be all alone Instead of folding for a King without a thrown Chorus: Why do I have to bend Way way down low just to let you in Sun don’t stop shining on a cloudy day The mountain don’t crumble for the wind and rain That’s why I haven’t found the one who breaks me down

about

Although I struggled to think of a title for this album, my brother Kelvin pointed out that I had, in fact, already been given its name when I set out on this chapter of my musical journey over a year ago. In April 2013, God spoke one word to me that set things into motion: GO. Those two letters gave me the permission I needed to truly embrace the path I am traveling today. As a result, recording this album was the MOST fun I’ve had making music. It was such an honor working with my favorite musicians and closest friends. If you know me, you know I’m a crier … and tears were shed, but they were tears of joy and amazement at the people that I was privileged to make music with. Thank you, Paul Reeves, for being the best coach anyone could ask for. Thank you for praying for and with me during this entire process. Thank you, Seth Hendershot, for being the big brother I never had. You see the big picture while I’m always focusing on the road directly beneath my feet. Seth, Carl, Jason and Nick: you all took such ownership of this project, and it meant so much to have you all so invested in these songs even after we were done recording. I love you guys. You opened my mind to such a bigger sound and new possibilities. I’m so honored to have this album as physical proof that I got to play with my dream team. Ansley and Betsy, my divas! Oh, the joy in singing with you ladies. I always stand straighter when I’m in your company. Momma, Daddy and Kelvin: you have always embraced the unorthodox moves I’ve made. Thank you for praying for me and encouraging me throughout this process. It has made this journey THAT much easier knowing you are on my side.

And, finally, many, many blessings and thanks to everyone who pledged and backed this album through the Kickstarter campaign. The word “Go” took on a new significance when you heard my plea. Your faith and support literally brought me to my knees in gratitude. You helped to show me that all the desires that God put on my heart were mine to claim; I simply had to go, ask for them, and step into my path.
